Jones Healthcare Group installs Koenig & Bauer Rapida eight-colour press

Jones Healthcare Group, an advanced packaging and medication dispensing solutions company, recently invested in a new, custom-built Koenig & Bauer Rapida 106 eight-colour press for its London, Ont. facility.

The company says the press will increase the company’s production capacity, flexibility and efficiency through highly automated technology and speeds of up to 18,000 sheets per hour. The company’s custom press is equipped with a state-of-the-art QualiTronic PDFCheck system for automatic, 100 per cent inline inspection against client-supplied PDFs at high resolution, as well as Koenig & Bauer’s Sheet Ident system for colour and quality control. Both features provide extensive reporting for clients and ensure their packaging meets the rigorous standards of the health sector, while also maintaining branding impact.

The Rapida 106 is will arrive at the company’s London facility this summer and is expected to be operational in October.
