Imaging Solutions and Ultimate TechnoGraphics provide fully automated multi-format print solution

Imaging Solutions AG, a Swiss manufacturer specializing in image enhancement software and modular systems for the automated production of on-demand photo prints, layflat books and canvas framing, and Ultimate TechnoGraphics, a provider of imposition and finishing automation solutions such as Ultimate Impostrip, join forces to offer a fully automated digital photo prints workflow optimized to save paper and offer maximum efficiency and flexibility.

Multi-format print orders are a challenge for print labs. While they are growing in percentage terms, the current production process is often cumbersome and inefficient. The production and storing of partial print orders before merging and packaging is still widespread. Multicut is a fully automated industrial XY-cutter and sorter, which simplifies the production of multi-format print orders without splitting them underway.

“The Multicut device is available today for digitally printed rolls and can run in nearline and inline configurations,” said Anthony Pieters, CEO of Imaging Solutions, “A sheet-fed version will also be made available within 2022.”

“Combined with Ultimate Impostrip,” continued Pieters, “we can provide a full end-to-end solution which is requested from print houses to minimize labour costs. As well the paper savings are tremendous using this solution.”
