UniNet to unveil iColor 350 dye-sublimation transfer printer this month
January 3, 2019 By PrintAction Staff
UniNet plans to showcase the new iColor 350 dye sublimation transfer printer at ISS Long Beach 2019, taking place January 18 to 20 in Long Beach, Calif.
Described as the first of its kind, the iColor 350 leverages specialty formulated dye sublimation toner technology to produce durable and vibrant colour prints, UniNet explains. This system uses heat to transfer images in a one-step process onto a range of white or light-coloured polyester-based textiles, and sublimation coated hard surface substrates such as ceramic, metal, acrylic and more, the company adds. UniNet says the iColor 350 puts an end to priming of ink delivery systems, cleaning of ink printer heads, and all maintenance associated with standard ink-based dye sublimation printing devices. Designed to ensure higher yields, the iColor 350 aims to provide a “much longer” toner expiration date.
Also being presented at ISS Long Beach 2019 is the newly released iColor 550 digital transfer printer, a multi-purpose printing solution developed for the transfer production of garments, hard surface as well as the print production of labels, banners and stationary. This new printer allows users to create heat transfer prints with white over print, white under print and regular CMYK prints without white.
