Komori completes acquisition of Germany-based MBO Group

Komori Corporation’s acquisition of MBO Group, a Germany-based company that specializes in the manufacture and sale of post-press equipment, is officially complete. MBO Group is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Komori under the new company name of MBO Postpress Solutions GmbH.

Komori says the merger allows it to expand its market presence, allowing the company to extend its print solutions to a wider range of applications from commercial, packing and digital printing.

Going forward, the company is now planning to couple two core products from Komori and MBO: MBO’s real-time data solution, Data Manager 4.0, and Komori’s IoT-based cloud solution,  KP-Connect, to seamlessly connect and report job data flow and feedback mechanisms for job status, waste and overall efficiencies of all devices.
