Recent installations of Rollem semi-slitter kiss cutting system

May 14, 2019  By PrintAction Staff

Rollem has announced several recent installations of the semi-slitter kiss cutting system, designed for back slitting or kiss-cutting pressure sensitive stocks and decals.

Ranging from 30 to 42 inches in size, the following companies recently added various semi-slitting systems to their finishing departments: T & T Graphics in Miamisburg, Ohio; Walter Haas Graphics in Hialeah, Fla.; Precision Engraving in Long Beach, Calif.; and Graphics Output in Fort Wayne, Ind.

A 2.5-inch hardened concentric roller stabilizes and supports the width of any sheet, Rollem says, explaining that the positive control aims to eliminate high and low cutting points for precision and consistency. With the addition of the semi-slitter, the companies can slit any material from fine paper stocks to heavy gauge plastics.
