Southwest Business Products has purchased the Binders and Index Tabs Business from DATA Communications Management (DCM) of Brampton, Ont.
In addition, Southwest has entered into a long-term supply agreement with DCM whereby Southwest has become the preferred vendor to DCM for the supply of binders, index tabs and related products.
A provider of business communication solutions, DCM’s core capabilities include direct marketing, print services, labels and asset tracking, event tickets and gift cards, logistics and fulfilment, content and workflow management, data management and analytics, and regulatory communications. It operates more than 20 locations, including six centres of excellence, across the country.

“Southwest is the leading manufacturer of document binding supplies in Canada, and we’ve had a long-standing trusted partner relationship with them,” says Gregory J. Cochrane, CEO of DCM. “This transaction is consistent with our strategic focus on products and solutions that are core to our top customers, and to source non-core offerings from other leading providers where it makes more strategic sense.”
The loose-leaf binders and tabs business was previously acquired by DCM in conjunction with its acquisition of Bolder Graphics in November 2017.
