Karl Belafi named territory sales manager at Standard

Standard Finishing Systems, a supplier of post-press and paper handling solutions, has hired Karl Belafi as territory sales manager for eastern Canada.

Karl has been in the industry for 27 years after starting his career at KBR Graphics, his family’s business. KBR was the oldest independent printing equipment dealer in Canada until it closed its doors in early 2020 after 42 years of operation.

While at KBR, Karl was able to learn the industry from all angles by holding positions including service technician, horizon operator trainer, marketing manager and director of sales & major accounts. Standard’s lines of finishing solutions were the top product lines at KBR for over 32 years.

“Standard enjoyed a close and productive partnership with KBR Graphics for many years,” said David Reny, executive vice president at Standard Finishing Systems. “We are thrilled to have Karl join our team to help us serve our eastern Canadian customers with his thorough, hands-on knowledge of our products and experience in this industry.”
