OBITUARY: Former president of Maclean Hunter, Matthew Fyfe

Matthew Fyfe passed away peacefully on Dec. 30, 2020, at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital, at the age of 84.
Matthew spent 27 years at Maclean Hunter, where he held several management roles, including president of printing operations. While at the company, he was key in growing Maclean Hunter into a national commercial printing company with several production facilities. Well-known in the Canadian and U.S. print industries, Matthew served as president of the Canadian Printing Industries Association (CPIA) and the Canadian Printing Industries Scholarship Trust Fund (CPISTF), and was also a board member of the Printing Industries Association (PIA) in the U.S.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1936, Matthew met Sheila in 1956 and together, they emigrated to Canada in 1958, where they spent 61 years together. Matthew is survived by Sheila, and his children Steven (Jennifer), Carolyn (Glenn) and was predeceased by his son, Scott. He is also survived by his grandchildren Connor, Tyler, Troy, Lauren, Shealynn, Blake and Kaileigh, his sister Nan, who resides in New Zealand, and was predeceased by his brothers Richard and Jim in Australia.
