Dr. Martin Habekost has been appointed chair of the School of Graphic Communications Management, effective July 1, 2021.
Martin holds a PhD in analytical chemistry from Leibniz University in Hanover. After working for 10 years in various roles within the ink manufacturing industry, he joined the School of Graphic Communications Management in 2005. Martin has held the role of associate chair of the school since 2012, during which time he formed a proper framework for all student groups at GCM, promoted international exchange, and was the advisor to the RyeTAGA student group, which he continues to this day.
In addition to teaching and service, Martin has continued his research into colour measurement and colour differencing equations. He has presented papers in regards to colour measurement, colour differencing equations, colour measurement of metallic inks and paper topography at TAGA conferences since 2006, in addition to publishing numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and trade publications.
