Capital Colour, an Edmonton, Alta.-based print shop, has invested in a new MIS system from Tharstern to help them grow profits and be more competitive by forming a deeper understanding of the costs associated with each job they produce.
The goal of a new MIS system for Capital Colour was to better understand their costs and work out which jobs are the most profitable, as well as analyse which areas they need to invest in or upgrade. The shop looked at four different MIS systems before settling on Tharstern.
“During the demos of the Tharstern program, it seemed to have a similar flow to our current system, but with many new functions that we didn’t have,” said James Stride, plant manager at Capital Colour. “Our main goal was to have a better and complete MIS system; Tharstern showed us they can provide that and give us a platform to build upon in the future.”
