Hemlock Printers installs Duplo DC-618 finishing system

Hemlock Printers of Burnaby, BC, recently installed a brand new Duplo DC-618 slitter/cutter/creaser, complete with rotary tool module, which allows for perforation, micro-perforation and score tool with strike perforation capability.

The precision finisher was combined with the DC-ST-3 conveyor stacker to allow for increased production capability. With its ability to slit/cut/crease and perforate in a single pass, the DC-618 delivers professionally finished applications up to 23 sheets per minute.

Kasey Baillie, production supervisor and purchasing, digital, said, “We required a new piece of equipment that would replace an aging machine that was being used to crease only. The Duplo-618’s handling of heavier stock gave us the advantage of faster production speeds and allowed us to expand our capabilities to include creasing, cutting, slitting and perforating. For these reasons, and for its ability to integrate seamlessly with Fiery Impose, the Duplo-618 was the clear choice for our digital finishing needs.”
