Maple Press, a US-based book manufacturer, is expanding its press base with a new investment in an HP PageWide Web Press T260 equipped with a Magnum Flexbook finishing system and a Magnum end-sheeter.
With this new addition to their fleet of presses, Maple Press plans to print upwards of 100,000 books per week. Maple will use this press to print orders from as little as 250 copies to as many as 5000+ copies per title.
According to Andrew Van Sprang, vice-president of sales and marketing for Maple Press, “This press is a game-changer for Maple Press and for the book manufacturing industry. After a couple of years of investigation, this is the first inkjet press that we have seen that produces images that are indistinguishable from top quality offset printing. We’ve been very impressed with the training and how simple the press has been to set up….it’s been as easy as ‘Press-Play.’ The introduction of the HP PageWide T260 supports the evolution of our print technologies and will help us automate more processes and streamline our workflows.”
Hailing from York, Pennsylvania, Maple Press has a history spanning more than a century specializing in book manufacturing. Maple Press produces over 13 million hardcover and paperback books for the print on demand, short run, inkjet and offset markets.
