From L to R: Cambridge Label’s Sheldon Hubbs, business development representative, and Deanne Sinclair, president.

Cambridge Label, based in Cambridge, Ont., has installed a DC330MINI Label Converter from Grafisk Maskinfabrik A/S (GM), on its own in just one day using the company’s visual installation guide. According to GM, the finisher is delivered in one box, so it can be unpacked and plugged in for near-immediate production.

The DC330MINI features functions such as semi-rotary die-cutting, corona treater, varnishing, laminating, slitting and more, and will help the company better accommodate the growing demand for delivering quality labels with shorter turnaround times.

The latest version of the compact DC330MINI Label Converter digital label finisher has been redesigned and features new electronics, a new control panel and an updated user interface. The DC330MINI is completely servo-driven and offers low maintenance, tension control and precise registration. The printer can reach speeds up to 72 metres per minute (236 feet per minute). Web widths can range from 50 to 330 mm (2 to 13 inches) and substrates from 50 to 200 µm (2 to 8 point) can be accommodated. The finisher also provides precise cutting to reduce waste. The unit’s updated touchscreen shows configuration, spindle directions and web-up.
