Pacific Bindery adds PUR perfect binding to finishing trade services

Pacific Bindery has added Polyurethane Reactive (PUR) perfect binding to its range of post-press finishing trade services for B.C. and Alberta’s commercial print market. The company says PUR adhesives open up a wide variety of high-value project work, as it is the industry standard for adhesion and durability.

The addition of PUR perfect binding comes following increased demand for this service by B.C. and Alberta printers in need of technical perfect bound production runs from 100 to 100,000 copies.

“We expect the installation to be complete by mid-March 2021 to start serving our partners,” said Scott Gray, VP sales and marketing at Mitchell. “As we grow, we will continue to bring relevant value-added finishing options to the marketplace.”

Pacific Bindery’s trade finishing services also include short run digital EVA perfect binding, Wire-O mechanical binding, plastic coil mechanical binding, saddle stitching, cutting, folding, glue-folding, tipping, padding, drilling, shrink-wrapping and more.
