PDI installs it’s first Canon VarioPrint iX3200 sheetfed inkjet press

Amongst the largest independent commercial printers in eastern Canada, PDI provides integrated print solutions to clients in Quebec, across Canada and the United States. In support of its growth strategy, PDI has invested in one of the latest innovations in sheetfed inkjet technologies from Canon, the VarioPrint iX3200.
With the ability to print on wide range of media up to 350 gsm on offset coated and uncoated stocks and print speeds up to 312 images per minute, the VarioPrint iX-series has replaced multiple, legacy toner presses, at PDI, with a single, reliable inkjet press.
Gaetano DiTrapani, CEO of PDI, and Jamie Barbieri, president of PDI, said, “Canon’s iX inkjet press has not only enabled PDI to transition from toner-based technology to the more efficient inkjet, but has also resulted in increased capacity for digital print output.”
