Connecting for Results and RRD secure work for Ukrainian refugee

Connecting for Results (CFR), a strategic consulting firm, successfully finds employment for Ukrainian newcomer, Pavlo Mashkov, with R.R. Donnelley and Sons Company (RRD).

Mashkov fled Ukraine with his family for a better life in Canada and was seeking employment in the printing industry. He recently accepted a full-time digital print operator position at RRD. 

The CFR recruitment team of Heather Black, Bob Dale, and Gordon Griffiths helped to connect Mashkov with employers and work opportunities, pro bono. The collaboration with RRD and placement of Mashkov represents a success for all three parties. 

“This is a win for Pavlo and his family, as well as the industry. It’s a great example of the positive outcomes we can accomplish when we work together,” said Griffiths, CEO and president, Connecting for Results. 

In his role, Mashkov is responsible for the operation and maintenance of one of the high-speed continuous inkjet printers, associated file management, and overall product quality. Mashkov brings a new perspective and wealth of experience to the team. 

“We are thrilled to have Pavlo on board. He is integrating well with our team and production environment and we are pleased to have worked together with CFR in order to bring this to fruition,” said Rael Fisher, president, RRD Canada. 

Mashkov started his career in a family print business in the Ukraine and has experience in all areas of the printing process. He is an award-winning graphic designer and was the head of a design and prepress department for over a decade. He helped to design the security technology for Ukraine’s passport.
