PrintAction launches the 17th annual Canadian Printing Awards featuring more than 50 categories to celebrate some of the nation’s best printing and technological solutions.
The 2023 program includes nine printing categories, 36 print production categories, four environmental printing categories and five technology categories. The printing categories continue to be the heart of the Canadian Printing Awards program, highlighting the importance of high-quality and efficient printing output, with categories spanning offset, web offset, toner and inkjet printing.
New this year
This year, we’ve launched 13 new categories including:
- Best Student Project of the Year;
- Best Print Project in each region – Atlantic Canada; Quebec; Ontario; British Columbia; the Prairies (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta); and North Canada (Nunavut, Northwest Territories, Yukon);
- Finishing – Foil;
- Finishing – Emboss;
- Finishing – Deboss;
- Finishing – Diecut;
- Finishing – Embellishment; and
- Wide-Format
Industry Achievement Awards
We are also accepting nominations in the industry achievement categories:
• John A. Young Lifetime Achievement Award
The John A. Young Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to the Canadian print industry over a 35-plus year career, excels in leadership and shows commitment to their community both within and out of the print industry.
The Printing Leader of the Year Award recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to the Canadian print industry over their career, excels in leadership and shows commitment to their community both within and out of the print industry.
The Emerging Leader of the Year Award recognizes an individual of 40 years of age or under who demonstrates a strong work ethic, leadership, initiative and a unique ability to guide and inspire others in the industry.
• Community Leader of the Year
The Community Leader of the Year Award recognizes an individual whose services/actions have made a meaningful contribution or impact on their community.
Submissions must be received by September 7, with early bird entry pricing available until July 31. All winners will be announced at the 2023 Canadian Printing Awards Gala at Palais Royale in Toronto on November 9.
