Nearly 70 students to receive CPISTF scholarships

Sixty-eight new and returning students at five Canadian post-secondary institutions have been selected by Canadian Print Scholarships to receive national scholarships for the 2019/2020 academic year.

Ranging from British Columbia Institute of Technology, Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology, Nova Scotia Community College, Ryerson University and Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, the students will each receive a $1,500 scholarship to help support their studies in graphic communications. The students, Canadian Print Scholarships explains, meet the academic requirements necessary to qualify for the awards in either their first or subsequent years in one of the approved university or college programs.

“We’re excited about the success of this first year of a pilot program designed to attract young people to the graphic communications industry. This is the most scholarships awarded in a year,” says Jeff Ekstein, Chair of Canadian Print Scholarships.

“Canadian Print Scholarships is supported by a number of leading organizations in the industry through regular donations to the Fund. Their leadership is truly making a difference. We encourage all graphics communications companies to consider adding their support. The mission of The Canadian Printing Industries Scholarship Trust Fund (CPISTF) is to attract students to the graphic communications industry by providing financial assistance to enrol and continue in a post-secondary management or technical program at an approved institution.
