Bernhard Schaaf to head Manroland’s large-format division

Manroland Sheetfed GmbH has appointed Bernhard Schaaf to its senior management team as head of the large-format press division. He will be based at the group’s headquarters in Germany.

Schaaf was formerly head of large-formats at Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (HD), where he was employed for the past 14 years. HD announced last year they are discontinuing large-format press production.

With the launch of the ROLAND 900 Evolution last summer coinciding with an increase in global demand for large-format machines in packaging applications and Schaaf’s intimate knowledge of the sector, the timing is perfect to strengthen our team and build upon the latest incarnation of Manroland’s iconic large format presses,” said Rafael Penuela, CEO Manroland Sheetfed GmbH.
