Canon Canada appoints Mikio Takagi as president and CEO. Takagi began his career with Canon in 1989. Over the past 35 years, he has worked in various regions and held progressively more senior roles. He has worked for Canon companies in Japan, Hong Kong, China and the United States. He became president of Canon Mexicana in 2019. Since 2021, he has been president and CEO of Canon Mexicana, Canon Panama, and Canon Latin America North Zone
Takagi earned a bachelor’s degree from Aoyama Gakuin University, majoring in international politics and emerging market economies.

Takagi succeeds Isao “Sammy” Kobayashi, who assumes the role of president and CEO of Canon USA.
