Most plastic plugs are available in lightweight, regular and heavy-duty models. Flanged core plugs boast superior support during shipping and storage. Sizes range from 1 to 12 inches with extra deep shoulder and lugged shoulder models available. Non-flanged core plugs are designed for core protection whenever rolls are stacked or placed on end, meanwhile precision side lugs are described by Badger Plug as providing a snug fit to overcome variances in core diameters.
